just-for-you gifts

October 30, 2012

Earlier this year, I wrote about Texas-based Paloma’s Nest, which specializes in ceramic and wood collectibles — with a sweet but modern edge — for weddings and other special occasions.

In the Sunday (Oct. 28) New York Times, there was a feature on gifts that can be personalized for weddings and anniversaries.

The company’s custom cake plate ($64) was included. Order the 7-inch, white plate (pictured above) with the names and a wedding date stamped into the edge.

Started in 2007 by Caroline Colom Vasquez, a University of Texas grad, and her husband Jose, the family business is named for their daughter, Paloma.
