kid-size furniture

April 11, 2012

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the handmade baby and wedding gifts by Texas-based Paloma’s Nest.

Started in 2007 by Caroline Colom Vasquez and her husband Jose, the family business is named for their daughter, Paloma.

The company’s trademarked Ring Bearer Bowl ($42 to $72) is a best seller

The Austin couple, who welcomed a son earlier this year, recently introduced a children’s menagerie furniture set (above), which includes a play table ($298) and chairs ($198 each).

A whimsical tree trunk supports the table top. A variety of animal chairs gather around it.

Chairs are shaped like a gorilla, giraffe, elephant and rhino. Choose one, two or four of the same animal — or different ones.

A table and four chairs is $998. A table and two chairs is $648. What a fun way to add some “jungle fever” to your children’s playroom.

The easy-to-wipe-clean, kid-size furniture is crafted of eco-friendly woods and non-toxic finishes. It is made for children ages three and older.
