set the table

April 10, 2012

Lexington-based Pomegranate has brought cheer and warmth to the table and the kitchen for nearly 20 years.

With inspirations from her own backyard and from her travels, owner & mother of five) Angela Beck uses traditional techniques handed down from generations of Indian artisans to print table linens and other textiles in bold colors and fresh designs.

Set your table with some of her fun and sophisticated prints — and save a chunk of change too.

For the next two-plus days, some of Beck’s  tablecloths, napkins, placemats (cloth, jute and raffia) and aprons are on sale at http://www.onekingslane.com.

Handcrafted raffia placemats (below) are accented with a coordinating embroidery. Eight, 14-inch by 14-inch placemats are $69 (regularly $140). They are available in various colors, including sea spray, natural and brown.

Add white, cotton napkins (shown below) with brown or black chain stitching. The go-with-everything napkins are $29 (regularly $64)  for eight.

Visit http://www.onekingslane.com for selected and limited table-top items or visit Pomegranate at http://www.pomegranateinc.com

P.S. Consider stocking up on hostess gifts if you are heading for a friend’s beach, lake or mountain home this summer. Who couldn’t use (& like) some fresh linens.
