biscotti bites

March 29, 2012

Biscotti often get a bad rap for being brick hard and dried out.

But David Jeffries, the former executive pastry chef at The Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta,  gets the cookies right. His biscotti are crunchy and buttery.

For love at first bite, try his  top flavors: cinnamon pistachio, orange spiced hazelnut and savory pear and rosemary. New flavors include Ginger Molasses and Cheddar with Roasted Red Peppers and Chipotle.

Biscotti Bites are $6.99 for a four-ounce bag. An eight-ounce bag, which features full-size biscotti, is $9.99.

Founded in 2009, the Georgia-based company also sells five flavors of coconut-based, gluten-free macaroons. Flavors include German Chocolate, Curry Spiced Mango, Ancho Chile Chocolate and White Chocolate Passion Fruit. A five-ounce bag is $6.99.

Available at, plus Atlanta-area Whole Foods stores.
