eco-chic glassware

March 12, 2012

When a wine bottle broke during dinner at his home, Daniel Hart came up with idea for a new, eco-friendly company.

In January 2011, the 2005 University of Georgia grad founded Uncorked Glass Company in Cartersville, GA.

The artisan glass company uses recycled wine bottles to create striking “green” glassware. The “dimple” or “punt” in the bottom of the wine bottle gives each tumbler its unique character.

The dishwasher-safe glasses are available in two sizes: 12-ounce (four inches tall) and 16-ounce (five inches tall).

They also come in five colors: amber, green, gold, clear and tinted clear. The four-inch clear and gold glasses are the company’s top sellers.

A set of four, four-inch clear glasses is $40. Visit
