mobiles + more

March 7, 2012

Artists Carol and Jean-Pierre Hsu have worked together in their studio in Berkeley Springs, W. Va., since 1984.

The largely self-taught artists work with anodized aluminum to create colorful and contemporary mobiles, wall art and jewelry.

Prices for their pieces range from $100 to $1,800 for their mobiles and $60 to $500 for their lightweight pins and best-selling earrings (left & below). They also welcome custom orders.

Last year the Hsus were asked by Atlanta’s High Museum of Art to create jewelry reflecting the museum’s “Picasso to Warhol” exhibit, which runs through April 29.

P.S. If you are in the Atlanta area, see the Hsus, and more than 200 other artists (many Southern artists too), at the American Craft Council Show March 9-11 at the Cobb Galleria. Check www,
