with this ring

March 5, 2012

Texas-based Paloma’s Nest specializes in ceramic and wood collectibles — with a sweet but modern edge — for weddings and other special occasions.

Started in 2007 by Caroline Colom Vasquez, a University of Texas grad, and her husband Jose, the family business is named for their daughter, Paloma.

Their trademarked Ring Bearer Bowl ($42 to $72) became an instant hit. The tiny ceramic dish is intended to replace the “ring” pillow in a wedding.

Make it personal by having your names and wedding date hand stamped on the dish. After the wedding, use bowl to hold jewelry or other mementos.

Other popular wedding-related gifts include custom cuff links ($94 to $98) and a seven-inch cake plate ($64). Both are shown below.

For an heirloom baby gift, check the children’s collection. Ornaments ($20 and up) — with the child’s name and birthday — are popular choices.
