let sleeping dogs lie

November 14, 2011

Your dog’s bed can look as smart as your home’s interior. It also can be comfy, without being a lumpy mess.

That’s what Mississippi State grad Woody DeWeese thought when he made a bed for his aging Golden Retriever (Cooper) and started Atlanta-based Woodson Miles Dog Outfitter last July.

Modern colors and graphics set the custom beds apart from other pet cushions. So does the construction. The memory foam beds are covered with a waterproof liner and a stain-resistant, designer duvet, which you can remove and wash.

Customer favorites include the Babe Paley (below right), with its stylish pattern, and the rugged WM Standard (below left) in navy, red and green. Beds are $175 and come in small, medium and large sizes.
