dish up in style

September 16, 2011

Rebecca Wood started  R. Wood Studio in an old produce warehouse in Athens, GA, home.  Since 1991, the studio has become nationally known for its gorgeous, handmade ceramics.

Made of N.C. red clay (terra cotta) and handpainted in rich, yummy colors, the tableware works for everyday or for that special occasion.

The food-and-oven-safe dinnerware, serving bowls and platters — in various combinations of simple shapes and luscious colors — are must-haves for brides-to-be.

Pictured are the Floraform dinner plate in blueberry ($48), the small everything bowl in surf ($45) and the rice bowl in poppy ($40).

Other popular pieces include the large everything bowl ($85), the antipasto platter ($85) and the dinner plates ($45).
