Though needlework of all types is back in fashion, Julie Pischke grew up in the needlepoint world. She worked and created designs in her mother’s needlepoint shop in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Pischke later moved to Key West and opened her own shop and design studio. It was there where she came up with the idea for Pischke Pockets, a needlepoint kit that includes a large, woven cotton tote bag, canvas, coordinating threads and easy-to-follow instructions to complete the tote.

The roomy, hand-woven cotton tote with leather handles works well as a diaper, travel or anytime bag. It measures 22 inches by 19 inches. The needlepoint canvas is 10.25 inches square.
